Following a review of our services across the Borough of Stockport, the Marple service will be changing to a one day per week appointment based outreach session on Tuesdays. The first Tuesday session will be on 12th December.
Whilst recognising the need for face-to-face appointments, the Citizens Advice service in Stockport over the next year will be developing further face-to-face drop-in and appointment-based outreach services. Citizens Advice Stockport is significantly investing in telephone and digital service whilst continuing to operate their main drop-in service from the central location in Fred Perry House, Stockport.
Steve Hughes, Operations Manager at Citizens Advice Stockport said:
“It is really important that as an organisation we change and develop to ensure we are best meeting the needs of our clients. Whilst we will always recognise the need for face-to-face advice, we do need to offer more telephone and digital based services – something there is an increasing demand for.
“At a time where we are expected to deliver more for less, the need to ensure we prioritise services for vulnerable clients which developing new and existing ways for people to contact us.
“The changes to Marple are the first of many developments for the organisation, and working with partner organisations we are confident this new service will ensure the people in the Borough of Stockport that need advice and information, will be able to access it.”
