On Monday, Citizens Advice Stockport (CAS) opened their new contact centre hosted from its Cheadle office.
The contact centre, which will answer calls from Stockport residents who require information and advice, is in response to growing demand from people wanting to access the CAS services via the telephone.
Steve Hughes – Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Stockport said:
“I am pleased that following our restructure and with the support of the council, we are able to invest £11,000 into the new contact centre. This is a great step forward in us meeting the changing demands of residents across Stockport.
“Over the year, we have seen an increase in the number of people wishing to access our services by phone and other digital methods. The investment in our new contact centre will allow us to better meet the growing demand.”
The investment in the new contact centre comes following a service review and organisational restructure allowing the organisation to change its services to better meet the demands of clients.
Clients wishing to access the AdviceLine service can do so on 0300 3309 075 Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 5:00 pm.
