Volunteers

Our service is built on the contribution of volunteers, working at our three sites in Cheadle and Marple.

Volunteers give a minimum of one day a week, Monday to Friday.

Most volunteers train to become qualified advisers. The CAB Certificate in Generalist Advice Work is widely respected and recognised in the UK advice sector.

Volunteers also play other roles. Administrative volunteers support local bureau operations.

Expenses are paid for travel. Some costs of childcare or care for dependants may be met (with funding provided by the Lloyds TSB Foundation).
